Trainer:
Steve Wolfe (Albany).
Current Status:
Spelling.
Performance Notes:
Trialled nicely first up at Lark Hill when not that far from the winner, but then had had enough when unplaced in an Albany trial. She'll return much better after a break...
Pedigree Notes:
Purchased at the Inglis Classic Sale in Sydney as Lot 382, this brown filly is by CONSOLIDATOR from BALLET GIRL
By the American Group 1 winner CONSOLIDATOR from BALLET GIRL, she's a lovely, correct filly as you can see. She’s by a Stakes Winner, from a Stakes Winner, and is a half sister to a Stakes Winner too. So, a winning combination we hope!
CONSOLIDATOR, a son of the World Champion stallion STORM CAT, was a Group 1 winner in the USA. As a stallion, his oldest progeny are 4yo’s and he’s had 137 runners to date for 70 winners-most of them in America.
BALLET GIRL was a good performer in Perth the winner of 4 races (and 12 placings)-all on city tracks including a Listed race and also finishing 3rd in the WATC Champion Fillies Stakes. As a broodmare, she’s had 5 of her progeny to race for 3 winners including EMPIRE DANCER who won 8 races up to 2200m including the Belmont Oaks (Listed)and the Belmont Classic (Listed), and Admiring who has won 2 races but more importantly for the family’s pedigree, has finished runner up in the Group 2 Cox Stakes (2200m) and the Group 3 WA Oaks (2400m). This filly’s 3rd Dam SOBAY was a 6 time winner in New Zealand which included two wins at Group 3 level and a placing in Group 1 company.
Future Breeding Potential: This filly has IMMEDIATE STRENGTH in her pedigree courtesy of a Stakes winning Mother who has already produced not one, but TWO Stakes performers. This means that when it’s her turn to visit the breeding barn, if she’s made her mark on the racetrack, then the resulting foals will have STRONG FIRST AND SECOND DAMS. Even if she’s unraced, injured or moderately performed, her foals will still have a STRONG SECOND DAM-with the prospect of further Pedigree upgrades through the quality filly Admiring who of course is still racing-almost guaranteeing a solid market for a well conformed foal.
